Top Attraction must Visit, Thanks for RDU airport it’s very good initiative.. It will be good if every Airport is having similar thing.. Lot of kids where enjoying.. Best place for plane watching.. Parking is free which is a sweet thing..
One request to RDU It will be very helpful if there is Arrival/Departure board so that we know which plane are expected..
View is very good Also couple of Trees are blocking the views it will be helpful if those are relocated or harvested..
Such a fun outing for solo time or time with family. Shaded and spacious place to watch the planes. There are also picnic tables and a small play area for children. The navigation takes you directly to the parking lot and you walk right up to the observation area.
I enjoyed my visit here. Landing view could be obstructed as there is a building nearby. But you can see cool things from the platform! In additions, they out some informational signs around the platform about different types of planes that one may see here. *some* parking available on site and the deck seems to be accessible
A nice place to see aircraft’s landing and take off with family from observation deck, it has enough parking, restrooms, benches, small beautiful garden, vending machine. In the evening we were able to see landing and take off of good number of planes in just few minutes.
Love visiting the observation deck, my kids have a great time! We bring a picnic lunch and hang out for a few hours just watching the planes. If you download the flightradar24 app you can zoom in and find out info about incoming/outgoing flights as you watch them real-time.
Great place to take pics and watch aircraft landing and departing. Can get crowded. NCDOT building blocks a lot of the view but a fun place to hang out for free. Open dawn to dusk.
Nice park to bring your kids to watch planes taking off and landing. There is also a small playground for kids.
A good vantage point for watching planes land and take off. Just below the observation deck is a small children's park. Have a sufficient amount of parking spaces and restrooms. Definitely a kid-friendly location.
